CFL Football Field Dimensions
The dimensions of
a regulation CFL football field are
listed below
Overall
Dimensions
A Canadian Football
Field has greater overall dimensions
than all other American leagues.
The center line in the CFL is actually
the 55 yard line (marked with a "C").
Therefore there are two 50 yard lines.
The field in the CFL is also wider
than other football fields. The overall
dimensions are:
Length: 450 feet
or 150 yards
Width: 195 feet
or 65 yards
End Zone:
Unlike American football where
the end zones are 10 yards deep, the CFL
end zones are 20 yards deep.
Dead Line:
The back of the End Zone shall be marked by the dead line.
Field Numbers:
CFL field numbers are 6 feet high and
4 feet wide.
Hash Marks:
CFL Hash marks are marked 24
yards in from the sidelines of the field, making
them 17 yards wide (51 feet).
Compared to American football
these most closely match the width of High School
fields which are 53 feet wide (College - 40 feet,
NFL - 18 1/2 feet).
Goal Posts:
CFL goal posts are 10 feet high and
18 feet, 6 inches wide (same as the NFL)
