History:
USAPA prides itself in
being the only long lasting governing body
of pickleball. Since 1984, USAPA has been
continually working hard to organize national
and regional tournaments, develop a player
ranking system, develop rules and regulations,
and market pickleball for maximum growth.
Among USAPA’s long term goals include
the promotion of pickleball for worldwide
play and recognition. It has been constantly
refining its rulebook, which was first issued
in 1984. USAPA cameo out with a revised
edition of the book a year after containing
expanded rules necessary for organized league
and tournament play.
