Overview:
The Irish Softball Association
(ISA) is the country’s governing body
for the sport. ISA oversees various tournaments,
leagues, development activities, and international
competition for both co-ed slow pitch and
ladies’ fast pitch softball.
Among others, ISA’s
best known accomplishments are the successful
implementation of the following competitions:
Indoor Softball League,
National Softball Teams, Leinster League
Championships, The Irish Softball Cup, Irish
International Invitational, and the Irish
Open Softball Trophy.
To streamline its
activities, ISA regularly conducts strategic
planning sessions. A 10-member focused group,
led by the ISA National Council meets to
evaluate past, current, and future issues
in Irish softball. Generally, the group
develops and writes a plan for endorsement
to the Irish Sports Council.
