Overview:
Being the governing
body of the sport in Ireland, the
Volleyball Association of Ireland
makes, maintains, and enforces the
rules of the sport in the country.
Among its many duties, the association
educates and informs people about
issues in volleyball; and imposes
effective sanctions on persons within
the sport who commit offences. Moreover,
the association also developments
and implements, in consultation with
the Irish Sports Council and the FIVB,
education and information programs
for members, coaches, officials, and
medical and health practitioners and
any person involved in volleyball
in the Republic of Ireland.
